How to Choose Computer Case to Arrange Your System Parts
Computer case (often called PC case) and monitor is basically the two things that must considered for appearance instead of relying on performance only. Those two parts is what people see when they look your computer. Of course you don't want to see a bad look of your computer when your friend comes to see. You need to upgrade your old computer case to the newer one to enhance your computer's appearance so that it will look great.
Computer case is the important part of your computer. Computer case accommodates your system as an office building accommodates all the employees working there. A good looking computer case is important, but you should also pay close attention to several things.
Here is what you should consider when choosing computer case:
Computer Case Must Compatible with Motherboard
The computer case that you will buy must fit your motherboard. There is some standard of motherboard manufacturers about what computer case will fit their motherboard. It is called form factor. Not all types of motherboards will compatible with any computer case. When you buy a computer case, you should see if it compatible with your motherboard type by seeing your motherboard documentation.
Type and Size of Computer Case
After knowing your motherboard's form factor, now you're ready to choose type and size of computer case. According to motherboard's documentation, choose the right computer type, such as ATX, micro ATX, and so on.
ATX is a motherboard and power supply form factor standard designed by Intel and introduced in 1995. It is characterized by a double row of rear external I/O connectors on the motherboard, a single keyed power supply connector, memory and processor locations that are designed not to interfere with the installation of adapter cards, and an improved cooling flow.
Choose the right size that fit your motherboard size, such as 244mm*210mm, and so on.
The Appearance of Computer Case
Don't buy an old looking computer case. Instead, buy newer design of computer case that you like. Nowadays, many computer case manufacturers produce great looking computer case that will fit modern taste. You can also modify that computer case later so that no one will have the same computer case as yours.
The Price of Computer Case
Most modern computer case will be priced so high because of the materials used to make that computer case. But not all modern computer case will be expensive. You should smart choosing between model and the price. Well, I think buying an expensive computer case is not a bad idea as long as you can afford it.
Space Available on Computer Case
You should consider about space that available in that computer case. Do the computer systems you have could fit to that computer case? How much system components do you have? Please note that the computer case you choose must have enough space to place fans that needed by your system. You should see the internal formation of that case if it fits your already built system.
Power Supply and Good Ventilation on Computer Case
Most computer cases have a built in power supply. Make sure you buy a computer case that have a power supply that can handle the power needed by your already built system. Also consider about good ventilation for your system in that computer case to avoid overheat.
Okay, that's the things you should consider when you decide to upgrade your computer case. You should mix between a good appearance and the price while you should also consider the above things. As for the computer case, appearance should be number one priority. Although you just upgrade your computer case, most common people will think that you just buy a new computer. So let's upgrade it.
